Newer Post Samarbejde med @kraeftensbekaempelse Havde du en brat summer? Så er det måske tid til celleskrab winter. Det viser sig nemlig, at op mod halvdelen af kvinder i 20’erne ikke deltager i screening for livmoderhalskræft. Det skal vi selvfølgelig lave om på, så vi sikrer os, at flere kvinder får opdaget celleforandringer på livmoderhalsen, inden de eventuelt udvikler sig til kræft.Som læge betyder denne sag meget for mig. Jeg har siddet på den anden side af briksen, og jeg ved, at for mange unge kvinder kan undersøgelsen være angstprovokerende – særligt når man aldrig har fået foretaget den før.Celleskrabet kan også være første gang, man som kvinde får foretaget en gynækologisk undersøgelse. Der kan derfor være rigtig mange tanker og bekymringer i forbindelse med undersøgelse for celleforandringer. Netop derfor er det vigtigt, at vi snakker åbent om screening for livmoderhalskræft og deler vores erfaringer. For langt de fleste kvinder er et celleskab heldigvis ikke forbundet med smerte. Jeg håber, vi kan afmontere noget af den frygt, der kan være i forbindelse med celleskrabet, da vi ved hvilke konsekvenser det kan have, hvis vi ignorerer vores indkaldelse.Lad os stå sammen om at sprede budskabet og dermed tage ansvar for vores helbred.
